Description

The American Psychiatric Association in partnership with local community-academic-public stakeholder groups will discuss a topic of local importance for the purpose of raising awareness and invoking a call to action. This year’s focus on children’s mental health and criminal justice issues will present local challenges, and highlight pockets of excellence in order to engage a diverse group of leaders and advocates to stimulate collective action. Coalition driven and led, this event will showcase and build on ongoing initiatives, educate the public and APA membership on key opportunities for forward progress, and equip participants to more effectively collaborate by convening local and national experts and thought leaders.
